Since I began this journey, life has been my color pallet! I see colors, and when something strikes me as an interesting pallet, I begin to think about putting that on canvas. My process begins with mixing custom colors and thinking about whether each color plays a subtle or dominant role in the painting. Then I think about the composition, and how I want these colors to appear. I test my theory several times to make sure I’m getting the reactions that I’m looking for.
The thing about Fluid Art is that you never really know what the paint will do, but it’s what I love about the medium! It’s that moment when you’ve put your paint on the canvas and moved it from side to side and step back and watch the colors interact, and react!
36×72 Gallery-Wrapped Canvas
This painting uses mixed media in beautiful shade of blues and silver; my favorite colors to work with! I added texture, to accentuate some areas and used silver leaf, acrylic ink and paint of various densities to create the composition. The painting is meant to create a sense of peaceful flow and would be ideal above a sofa or bed.

There is a tiny island off the coast of Belize that I love to go to. The island is plentiful with Conch shells where they are used as bait, for decoration and to make jewelry and gifts from. This day, I was dreaming of my Caribbean happy place, and found inspiration from the shells for my color pallet.

Traveler is a commission piece, done for my client’s guest room, thus the name Traveler! The room was softly decorated in a pallet of greys and white but needed a pop of color. I added golds, and soft pink, and turquoise to the painting to bring an earthy but eclectic feel to the painting. Standing back from the painting, you can see the movement, and I do hope that all who rest in this room, find peace and intrigue in its layers.
